    I just listened to your interview at the Dr Axe, Ancient Health Podcast, #156. I'm listening to as much as I can about this b/c it's starting to help connect the dots in a lot of ways. I have SO MANY QUESTIONS! I understand that it's important to know if you're prone to deficiencies, how, and what you need to supplement with, etc. The question is always what and how much? Yes, I know, a practitioner, which is easier said than done. You've stated here Autistic children were prone to low Glutathione levels, but how did you know if they were able to absorb once you did give them the Glutathione and what scale was used to assess whether they needed a little or a lot? I get you saw results, but you've also stated they weren't making it to begin with, so how did you know they would absorb it? When do you know how much is too much? A practitioner I know.... Have you seen the study of the mice/rats that had yellow fur and were overweight? They kept having yellow fur babies that were prone to gain weight. They changed the diet of a few of the them and with each new birth the babies had whiter fur and were less prone to weight gain? Does this explain some of what you're talking about or is this completely different? There are so many subject matter experts on holistic health right now that "used to practice," but now only push education and products. If they are available, the list is a mile long to get into see them or they are so expensive b/c they aren't covered by insurance. I tried your site's finder and it wasn't working. I really do want to explore the science behind it and test it out for myself before seeing if this is a solution for others I know. If this is truly as amazing as it seems, great work and I look forward to using the test kit through an educated practitioner.

      Hi Deborah, Thanks for reaching out. These are all good questions and require a lengthy response, but the cliff notes are that we get the body making glutathione itself, same with neurotransmitters, hormones etc. This way we don't have to ask the question, how much is enough glutathione to give. We don't give glutathione. The body has an amazing ability to do these things itself, sometimes its just a matter of the right cofactor being given. That's the point. Yes, I am aware of the Agouti mice studies, this is important work but this is due to nutrients given before birth. That has a powerful effect on the health of the individual over their lifetime. We are paying attention to that of course, but on another level we are working with the biochemistry of the body and genes you have inherited that affect the biochemistry. This is a huge paradigm shift that takes time to really understand. Instead of a trying to "micromanage the body" philosophy to a "let's give the body what it needs to do it itself" philosophy. This is what happened to me when I started looking at how the brain makes neurotransmitters and supporting that versus giving serotonin modifying drugs or nutrients. Make sense?

    The medical industrial complex's failure to properly research and diagnose and treat diet and microbiome and sleep and vital nutritional deficiency issues (including those related to Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 and Magnesium deficiencies as well as iatrogenic prescription medication usage) is a major reason why psychiatric iatrogenesis is a primary contributor to the third leading cause of death in the U.S. (which is iatrogenesis in general). If the U.S. spent just a fraction of the over $40 billion each year it spends just on iatrogenic psychiatric drugs alone, for properly researching the issues discussed in this and related UA-cam presentations we would probably, Lord willing, achieve an absolute revolution in medical efficacy improvement and iatrogenesis reduction. An obvious question that never seems to be addressed: given that Vit D is so hard to get, except from sunshine, why would evolution use it as a hormone to MODULATE so many processes? Unless, that is, the aim is to slow the body down in winter - hybernation! Are we missing something?

    • @DrJADunn
      @DrJADunn 3 роки тому

      Good question! Maybe that's a piece of it, I had not thought of that. In addition, our diet has changed so much that we are deficient in the cofactors for proper absorption of vitamin D.

    • @lindosland
      @lindosland 3 роки тому

      @@DrJADunn Thanks for the reply. I Now think that I was mislead by claims being made elsewhere that Vit D is a hormone. It seems it's not, it's a pro-hormone, a precursor chemical needed in sufficient amounts to enable other processes to work optimally, rather than a modulator itself. I found an interesting video that refers to studies of vitamin D in tribes that live much as their distant ancestors did, with regard to sun exposure and diet. They had high levels of vit D, in line with those now being suggested for optimal health; suggesting that we evolved in lives that gave us sufficient, but now live lives that very often don't. ua-cam.com/video/B9SNfrE7P1s/v-deo.html 'Vitamin D, Sunshine, Optimal Health; Putting it all Together'.

    1) dunno if this is relevant, but does the vdr exist in all cells and tissues and internal lining (including mucus membrane epithelium such in the mouth-stomach, bladder, ureters and urethra, rectum, nasal)? and in the eyes, prostate, breast tissue? / 2) also, the vid says bacteria could inactivate vdr. so the body converts regular vit d into d3 (?), 'leading to a hallmark of chronic inflammation.' does this mean vit d/d3 can cause inflammation? i thought vit d/d3 was potently anti-inflammatory..??
